Loved the spacious rooms and beautiful surroundings. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The location was ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with stunning views from the large back garden.

The bathroom facilities were not up to par, with an external bathroom that was inconvenient. The limited food options in the area were also a downside.

I recently stayed at the New Ing Lodge in Shap for a few days while walking the Coast to Coast trail. The lodge was beautifully designed and the staff were incredibly welcoming, even to my furry companion. Our room was amazing and the breakfast provided was plentiful and just what we needed to start our day. The location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area, including the fascinating 'Lost City'. The lodge had a cozy atmosphere and the interior design was carefully and beautifully done. a truly enjoyable stay.

The location of New Ing Lodge was ideal for our coast to coast walk, providing a convenient base to rest and recharge. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the bathrooms spacious and clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The friendly hosts went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, from tweaking the menu to providing a substantial packed lunch for our early departure. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area and brick-built BBQ, perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking.

One minor drawback was the lack of hanging space in our specific room.

They also made my dog feel very welcome. the location of the lodge was perfect for a stopover between the West Country and Scotland, as it was very close to the M6. It was also a popular choice for walkers on the Coast to Coast path. the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a great bar with local beers. I didn't have the evening meal on this occasion, but I definitely plan to next time as it looked lovely.
